It’s hard to believe February has already come and gone. 2018 is shaping up to be a pretty busy year so far. And I’m excited to say I’m officially all booked up for March! Unfortunately that means I won’t be able to take on any new projects until April. However, for those who are currently under a long term contract, work will continue as usual.
Besides all the projects, February has also brought some exciting new adventures! I think I can safely label this past month as artsy fartsy (clearly the preferred industry term to label creativity).
Started off by taking a pottery class over at Prouse Pottery & Soap Co. with the ladies. And I have to say, it was one of the coolest things I’ve done! It took me right back to being in an art class. Definitely still have a lot to learn technique wise, but I cannot wait to go back to glaze our work. You’ll see in the photos that O.D. Illustrations definitely won for “most skilled” with her fancy abstract sculpture.
And if that wasn’t cool enough, I also had a super awesome cookie decorating day with some family! We all attended Mama Oddi’s class for icing sugar cookies (for those of you who don’t know, my mom’s kind of a queen of making pretty desserts). It was really fun having a creative time with my older cousin and the little ones. Check out how talented we all are (the ones done by me had to be completely ridiculous)! But seriously, I can’t get over how fast they picked up on cookie decorating, clearly creativity runs in the family.
To wrap up the month, I decided to break out of my comfort zone a little! Posed for a boudoir shoot, which was such a great experience. After seeing some of my cousin’s work at Ginger Snap, I simply couldn’t resist getting some photos done. Her boudoir shoots are so stunning, and I have to say she really knows how to bring out your inner confidence. But I won’t be revealing anything on here, so you’ll just have to follow her on social media @gingersnap.ca to find out more!
