This Presentation is Disabled
Digital accessibility is a basic human right. Join me in exploring how designers can support the disabled community. Breaking down stigmas [and barriers] that keep us from adapting our practices. And of course, covering web and social media practices used by the community. Registration link in my bio.
Title Origin: This presentation was named intentionally. Based entirely on "this website is Disabled" from the @DisabledListOrg landing page. Which truly manifests the pride I and many others feel about the community.
I chose to adopt this phrasing to flip the script in my own field. Both on people's perceptions of disability and to de-centre the non-disabled narrative.
